“Real Education should consist of drawing the goodness and the best out of our own students. What better book can there be than the book of humanity.”
I am immensely happy to pen these few lines through this official website. Don Bosco, Egmore has established its own rich glory and merits over the past 61 years in Academics, Sports and Extra-curricular activities with par excellence. Due to the onslaught of the media and IT gadgets, teachers, parents and students have been influenced to a great extent. As a result of this, life has taken a drastic turn in the family, school and society.
Don Bosco often used to say “Education is of the heart and not of the mind, Education is the basis to learn and unlearn what is effective and fruitful for life”. As the Principal, it was a joy for me to see the students of DB Egmore shine in all spheres of life. But our education will be holistic and effective only if we give importance to values, relationships and respect for teachers, elders and a prominent place for the Almighty. Let us all resolve to have reverence to the Almighty, be relationship oriented, child friendly, eco friendly rather than being attached to gadgets.
May this academic year help the management, the teachers and the students to collaborate and co-operate to achieve the above goals.

Dear Friends! Greetings from Fr. Mathias, the Principal of Don Bosco Matriculation School, Egmore!
“Apart from me, you can do nothing” thus says the Lord in John 15: 5.”
We gratefully remember Rev. Fr. Gerald Miranda the former Principal of our School. We place on record the yeomen service that he has rendered to raise the standard of the school. We wish him all the best and pray for him as he takes up the new responsibility. Let us raise up our hearts in thanksgiving to God the Almighty for all his marvelous deeds.
My dear students! Every new academic year brings new hopes and goals for life. Every new dawn brings fresh chance, it brings new hope. Yes! This is the beginning of anything you want.
The new academic year discloses all the possibilities to learn, renew and excel in every field of your interest with new faces. In fact, St. John Bosco believed in the principal of making everything new and interesting to mould the young minds.
Hence, “Start where you are; Use what you have; Do what you can” Aurthor Ashe.
Long live Don Bosco and May God Bless You!
